  • Sunday 13th (64km)
    • A ride for the early arrivals. Our route takes us straight into the iconic Adelaide Hills via the classic Old Norton Summit road. From there we head north along the ranges before returning to Adelaide via Horton. The afternoon can be spent relaxing before heading to Rymill Park for the last stage of the Women’s Tour Down Under and the People’s Choice Classic.
  • Tuesday 15th (85km)
    • We celebrate the Subaru King Of the Mountain. Heading out through the Adelaide suburbs, we will spend nearly 10km on the stage roads, before arriving at the first Subaru KOM point of the 2019 UCI WorldTour! We then tackle head on some great ramps seldom ridden by the masses as we head south to the delightful Chain of Ponds and one of Australia’s favourite cycling roads, Gorge Road. We may see the pros fly-by on the Paracombe Loop (time permitting).
  • Wednesday 16th (74km)
    • Following the official route from the start at Norwood (and a photo opportunity under the start banner) we head up Gorge Road to our viewing position. Reaching Millbrook, we head along the range and continue climbing through spectacular “back country” Adelaide Hills countryside before reaching the highest point (just over 700m) at Mt Lofty. Our descent back into Adelaide is via the wonderful flowing Greenhill Road delivering us to the Tour Village to rest the legs and enjoy the atmosphere after another great day in the saddle.
  • Thursday 17th (50km)
    • Just 50km might be short, but the day is packed full of highlights! Like a good espresso! Leaving Adelaide City, we ascend into the Adelaide Hills via Norton Summit. Continuing into the hills towards Basket Range, our route takes in roads and scenery that for most people would normally be the highlight for a ride! We arrive onto the Uraidla loop to see the peloton pass six times at various points before catching all the action on the finish line!
  • Friday 18th (67km)
    • We will ascend Greenhill Road into the Adelaide Hills. Deviating at the summit, we pass through the idyllic Carey Gully and Mt George, skirting Hahndorf as we pass through to Mylor and watch the fly by of the Pro Peloton. Without the Stirling Loop, regular visitors will see Stirling in its natural state, as we pass through it before crossing the beautiful Belair National park and the thrilling roller coaster like Sheoak Drive. We plunge into Adelaide’s Southern Suburbs via Old Belair Road.
  • Saturday 19th (45km)
    • While the pro peloton starts at the beach, we will reduce the amount of climbing to save ourselves for Willunga on Sunday. This is an incredibly scenic ride, with spectacular views back across Adelaide from Windy Point, before continuing through to Blackwood and the charming Coromandel Valley. Our Santos Tour Down Under view point today will be as different and unique as it is spectacular. A wonderful photo opportunity for everyone with us. After the peloton has passed we will continue back to Adelaide via the coast. But it is not as simple as that! The route we have curated for our coastal return will offer magnificent views of the coastal cliffs and beaches which are seldom visited by the cycling tourists during the race. As we are seeing the pros pass quite early into the stage, we will try to arrive back in time see the finish on the Tour Village big screen!
  • Sunday 20th (140km)
    • Saving the biggest day till last, in short today’s route is as epic as Willunga itself, especially as 2019 will see the Santos Tour Down Under finish on the world renowned Willunga Hill. We have everything today: gravel roads, steep sharp pinches, flowing fast descents and an incredible coffee stop. There is the option for guests to ride Old Willunga for themselves before retreating to the atmosphere of our coffee destination. Once the stage is over, we will be able to return to Adelaide avoiding the mass exodus of Willunga. Returning to Adelaide City our destination will be the Tour Village to relax and celebrate what will be another incredible Santos Tour Down Under.
