Getting to your accommodation with a bike

Private transfer, taxi or rental car are three of the best ways to get to and from your accommodation with a bike.

Private transfer

There are many private charter companies which can arrange transfers to and from Adelaide Airport. Private transfers usually provide a door-to-door service to and from your accommodation. You will need to pre-book the transfer and advise you are travelling with a bike.

Public transport

Bikes are not permitted on Adelaide's public transport buses or trams. Therefore, unfortunately bikes are not permitted on Adelaide Metro's airport services from Adelaide Airport. If you are not travelling with a bike though, Adelaide Metro's airport services are an inexpensive way to get to and from the airport.

Taxis

Some larger taxis will take packed bikes. Make sure it is in a box or bike bag. There is a taxi rank on the ground level at the front of Adelaide Airport, to the left of the pedestrian plaza as you walk out of the terminal.

Suburban Taxis

Airport Transfers

Adelaide Airport Flyer operates a door-to-door service seven days a week. It also picks up from Keswick Interstate Railway Terminal upon request. Bookings are essential, with a minimum of 24 hours of notice advised. You must mention that you are travelling with a bike.

Northern Flyer are based at the Adelaide Airport and offer a transfer service to the Adelaide CBD every 30 minutes. All vehicles are fitted with trailers and can securely transfer you and your bike for $10 per person and $5 per bike. Northern Flyer also cater to small or large groups and private transfers are available.
