OLYMPIC gold medallist and 11-time world champion Anna Meares will be inducted into the SA Sport Hall of Fame later this month.
As the most successful female track cyclist in the history of the UCI World Championships, Meares is one of the most decorated athletes in the country.
She is the only Australian athlete to have won individual medals at four consecutive Olympic Games (2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016) and retired after the Rio Olympics.
Today, Meares actively campaigns for road safety through her work with the Motor Accident Commission and has been a commentator for the Santos Tour Down Under.
Meares will be added to the Hall of Fame at The Advertiser / Channel 7 SA Sports Awards on 16 November.
