Group Ride presented by Santini: Gorge - Lobethal - Norton Summit - 86km

Fri 12th Jan 2024 at 7:00 AM

We know how many Santos Tour Down Under fans love being on a bike. That’s why we’ve partnered with AusCycling on a new series of group rides set to explore Adelaide and regional South Australia.

Rides will leave from the Tour Village in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga each morning, with timing included, partner giveaways and hill challenges on select routes.

Adelaide-based cycling clubs are hosting these new rides, which are a great way to meet other cyclists, hone skills, explore less familiar roads and log some kilometres before you watch the world’s best in action.

Location: Tour Village to Gorge - Lobethal - Norton Summit
Distance: 86km

Heading opposite of the Ziptrak® Women's Stage 1 race direction, ride along race route on Maryvale Road and through the finish straight before heading up the Gorge to Cudlee Creek.

Travel down through Fox Creek and onto Lobethal before winding your way through Lenswood, Basket Range and Ashton, onto Norton Summit, before returning to the Tour Village.

Explore the route.

All participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered to do the ride in the same distance in the same group. When registering for the ride, please use the Notes section to provide the parent or guardian's name on the child's entry.

All participants in the short rides (24km-53km) must be at least 13 years old on the day of the ride. All participants in the Long ride (54km - 127km) must be at least 15 years old on the day of the ride.
