The delicious union of food and wine is universally enjoyed, but can be transformed into somewhat of an art form when paired with the right atmosphere.

For Maurice Behan, his appreciation for such an experience was so strong that it sent him on the lookout for a place to create his own.

When the old Commonwealth Bank building in Strathalbyn became available, Maurice knew he’d found the right fit. After over a year of renovations, Hammer ‘N’ Tongs opened its doors in the town centre to offer a relaxed, comfortable meeting place to share a bite, beverage and a chat with mates.

Hammer ‘N’ Tongs is open daily, serving up coffee and nibbles from 7am to 4pm, café style breakfast from 8am to midday and a delicious lunch menu from 12pm to 3pm.

Friday and Saturday evenings can be kicked off with an array of spirits, beers and wines, accompanied by tapas and Italian style pizzas until 9pm.

With a strong focus on creating a positive work environment, you’re sure to be greeted with some happy staff, too.
