About the Stage
Departure for Stage 5 of the Santos Tour Down Under set out from Glenelg towards the Fleurieu Peninsula. The peloton headed to Strathalbyn, then deviating south for a Victor Harbor finish.
Last time the race came to Victor Harbor was two years ago. That marked Elia Viviani’s first win at Deceuninck – Quick-Step and proved to be the first of a big year of wins for the team, which would go on to post a record 90 victories for the year.
