Bike Hire

There’s no better way to see South Australia than by bike. No matter which stage you’re heading to, there’s plenty to see along the way. Whether it’s coastal views, vineyards or storybook towns you won’t regret pedaling to your chosen viewing spot along the route. If you need a set of wheels to get there (or just to get around the city!), why not hire a bike for your journey. Options in the Adelaide City Centre include:

Adelaide FREE Bikes

Adelaide FREE Bikes is a bike hire scheme which enables visitors to Adelaide to hire a bicycle for free. The program is run by Bike SA and sponsored by the Adelaide City Council.

There are more than 500 bikes available for hire in the Adelaide Free Bike fleet. You can hire one for free from over 20 city locations. Hiring is easy, all you need to do is show some identification (driver’s licence, passport or student card) and fill out a form, then a bike, helmet and lock are yours for the day.

Bike hire spots include the Adelaide City Council office at 25 Pirie Street, the Adelaide Zoo on Frome Road or the Adelaide Convention Centre on North Terrace as well as outlets in suburban North Adelaide, West Beach and Henley Beach.
