THINGS TO SEE AND DO

Want to see the sites with a little extra speed? Efficiently tackle the trails of the Adelaide Hills by dual suspension e-bike from Will Ride E-Bike Hire in Stirling. For something not so active, refine your cooking skills at the Sticky Rice Cooking School, where you can experience hands on cooking classes before dining in the ambient restaurant and sipping on premium SA wines.

Families should visit Gumeracha’s famous Big Rocking Horse and wander through the toy factory or hand-feed kangaroos in the seven-acre animal park.

For more outdoor activities, traverse forests, farmland and historic towns on a long-distance cycling and walking trail. The Mawson Trail can be accessed from Lobethal and offers spectacular views, wildlife and unique flora. As does the 28-hectare Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary. Home to native animals including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and bandicoots. It’s also the only place on mainland South Australia where you could spot the elusive platypus!

In Lobethal, meander through the scattering of boutique shops and historical buildings in the main street.
