When not at the Tour Down Under, our passionate team curates and hosts inclusive cycling tours to the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Spring Classics, Tour of Spain and to many of Europe's biggest cycling events. We love being in Adelaide, our hometown every January to host tours to our home race, The Santos Tour Down Under.

Your Directeur Sportif Pat Fitzpatrick grew up training and racing on the roads and tracks of Adelaide, South Australia and the picturesque Barossa Valley.

Your co Directeur Sportif Grace Fitzpatrick studied Wine Marketing in the Barossa Valley region.

The Adelaide Hills Package

Ride the small roads as only the locals can in Australia’s little Europe “The Adelaide Hills”.

Ride through and visit the famous vineyards of the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and the McLaren Vale, Australia’s most well-known wine regions. You’ll be there to experience all of the excitement of the new Tour Down Under format with Men's and Women's races on the same day. 

Our varied programs/tours see all of the Women's Tour Down Under stages in the final four days, our seven and six-day tours include more riding, and experiences to the beautiful regions of Adelaide and to intercept with the Men's race stages at strategic locations.

Ride Holidays specialises in creating exceptional cycling tours (since 2008) to New Zealand, Australia, Asia, North America and Europe. There are 3 choices of rides daily - our Cappuccino group target 60km with some quality chat. The Latte peloton ride 80 – 100km with slightly less chat but still have a good time. Espresso (and on occasion Double espresso) are 100km plus and the talk is generally confined to strava, KOM, QOM, W/KG etc.

Whatever your fitness – we’ve got you covered. There’s a specific 90-day professional training program attached to each tour.

Our non-riders are known as Team Macchiato and have their own local guide and vehicle. They visit markets, wineries, cooking schools etc rather than sitting in a van watching cyclists ride up a hill. Ride Holidays is proud to have organised tours to the Santos Tour Down Under for over 15 years.

Our point of difference is that we don’t just stay in the city, preferring to spend a few nights in the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. All our guides are from South Australia – we simply know where the best coffee is. Join us for an unforgettable holiday.

10-day Santos Tour Down Under Cycling Tour for 2027 

Ride Holidays is all about exploring the whole region – rather than just the city. Our 10-day Santos Tour Down Under Cycling Tour for 2027 starts and finishes in Adelaide. Also spending a couple of nights in Hahndorf (Adelaide Hills) as well as 2 nights in the beautiful Barossa Valley.

We’ll see both the men and women stages but it’s equally important to eat at the best restaurants & cafes, stay at quality hotels and generally remind ourselves daily that it’s a holiday and not a training camp. January can be hot in South Australia which is why we have multiple support vehicles – all stocked with ice, cold drinks, and food. Packages are fully inclusive as per the itinerary.
