What is the Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trail?

When completed, the trail will be a 100km walking/cycling trail around the Clare Valley. It will begin and end at the Clare Valley Wine, Food & Tourism Centre, traveling on a network of backroads, road reserves & private property. There will be 5 stages, each approx 20km in length.

The trail will showcase the region’s natural beauty & premium food and wine products, passing 24 cellar doors and numerous restaurants and cafes once complete.

The trail will be a public trail available to locals and visitors, users of the trail will be free to complete the entire route or smaller sections. It is estimated that walkers would take 5 days to complete the entire route and cyclists between 2 & 5 days.

Please note that the trail is closed until the 26th or March 2022, during this time there is no access to private property, sections of the trail on roads can still be used.
