The thriving South Australian cycling community is serviced by a fantastic collective of bike shops, whether you're going for coastal rides every weekend, or leisurely rides on a vintage fixie.

Thankfully, during TDU, you'll never be short of a bike shop in Adelaide, staffed by people knowledge and super passionate about cycling.

We've got our picks of the best bike shops around Adelaide, which will come in handy if you happen to pop a tyre at some point in the Summer.

99 Bikes

With 5 locations around Adelaide, you've never too far from a 99 Bikes Store! 

Each 99 Bikes if full to the brim with bikes, helmets, accessories, clothing, parts and more, as well as energy drinks, foods and supplements. You're highly likey to find whatever is you need, whether you're a pro or an amateur!

Bicycle Express

After their serious store upgrades a few years back, Bicycle Express is widely known as the bike shop with one of the best fit outs in town! Their funky design speaks to the thriving cycling accessories culture, which these days celebrates patterns and colours above all else!

As well as being a retail outlet, they've got an onsite workshop with super knowledgeable mechanics. Plus, they run Group Rides, so you can become a part of their little community!

Reid Cycles

It's a store and workshop rolled into one, a very convenient location in the Adelaide CBD.

If you're not looking to ride Willunga Hill anytime soon, they've got a particularly cool collection of Vintage bikes available - perfect for a short commute to work!

Bike Society

Plenty of bikes, plenty of gear, and a mountain of accessories are abound at Bike Society.

They'll also give you a personalized and high-tech bike fitting using the Body Geometry Fit system, helping you ride faster, longer and in greater comfort, while reducing the chance for injury.

Bike Bug

Not too far from the start of Stage 2 you'll find Bike Bug in Stepney, with plenty of bikes, bits and pieces at affordable prices.

Giant Adelaide

If you're a Giant cyclist (the bike, not the mythical creature!), you'll know about the two Giant stores conveniently located in both the city and in Glenelg.

You'll find seriously knowledgeable staff here, which may help especially if you're looking at getting your first Giant!

Mega Bike

As well as your traditional retail shop and workshop, Mega Bike goes the extra mile at their shop with Mega Training and Mega Spin!

If you're heading up to the end of Stage 2, never fear, you're not far away from a bike shop!

Barossa Bike will have you sorted for any emergencies while you're in the area. You can also hire a bike from here if you're staying a while to explore the region!

As well as the standards, you'll also find E-Bikes at the Bicycle Centre, as well as a great range of kids bikes!

Will Ride 

Not too far from the Stage 4 Route you'll find Will Ride, an E-Bike specialist shop in Stirling. 

As well as being a store and service outlet for your own E-Bike, they offer E-Bike hires, as well as guided tours through the beautiful Adelaide Hills region. Owner Will Rischbieth will take you on an unforgettable adventure that includes handy tips and bike coaching.
