What's on in the City of Adelaide Tour Village

The City of Adelaide Tour Village in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga is the place to be in January. With free entry and so much on offer - there is something for everyone from the casual onlooker to the cycling fanatic.

Featuring bars with daily knock off hour, family zones, live entertainment, leading food vendors and the opportunity to meet and greet elite international riders – it’s set to be the biggest one yet.

Team Presentations

See your international and Australian hero’s up close and get an insight into who this year’s favourites will be. Throw your support behind an up-and-coming local rider or cheer for the world champions.

All will be introduced at our team presentation. It’s the best place to be to meet the riders before the remaining 9 days of action packed, highly competitive racing.

Bike Expo

One for the cycling fans – Australia’s largest Bike Expo is coming to the City of Adelaide Tour Village. Test out the latest gadgets and technology from the biggest brands in cycling and learn from the experts – it’s a must-visit and on throughout the festival.

Team Zone

Get up close to cycling’s elite at the Team Zone– where both the women’s and men’s UCI WorldTour teams and riders will set up base during the tour. Think of it as your backstage pass to watch team mechanics at work, spot your cycling heroes and grab those all-important autographs and selfies.

Talking Tour

Debrief on the day and listen to some of the best voices in cycling as they break down the day’s drama, strategies, theories and insights. Guests will include ex-pro cyclists and even Santos Tour Down Under cyclists straight from the peloton - so make sure you get to the Santos Main Stage after the conclusion of each stage for the ultimate professional race analysis.

Health Partners Recovery Zone

Brand new to the City of Adelaide Tour Village this year the Health Partners Recovery Zone will be the fastest way to rest, recover and recuperate after exploring Adelaide’s regions by bike.

Featuring Odin Ice-baths, localised cryotherapy and massage boots provided by a local supplier, and physiotherapy and massage treatments from SportsMed, each treatment is designed to alleviate pain, inflammation and sore muscles and work on your post ride niggles while you relax in the Village.

Hahn Knock Off Hour

What could be better than live music and some refreshing knockoff drinks after a big day out watching the cycling? Gather your friends and head back to the city for some drink specials 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the City of Adelaide Tour Village.

Kids Zone

Write a letter to a pro with our Singapore Airlines Peloton Post or grab a paint brush and help us to finish our mural painting at the Kids Zone. There will be a 'Follow the Ochre Trail' show bag and treasure map which kids can collect from our Info booth to ensure they don't miss any of the fun activations or giveaways throughout the Village.

The Kids Zone is packed full of fun and interactive activities to keep everyone interested across the ten days of the event.

Family Day presented by Health Partners

Kids will have the opportunity to learn new skills, make and enjoy something delicious and nutritious, meet champions from the world of cycling, and of course get their bikes on the track for the Health Partners Family Ride!

The kids can fuel up for the afternoon and get their hands dirty as they prepare their own fruity bliss balls.   The perfect nutritious snack to kick off a jam-packed afternoon.

With a full belly and energy to boot, the kids can also attend a skills session with our friends from AusBike. The program is being rolled out across Australia and aims to teach kids the fundamentals of riding and ensuring safety on the road.
