DeTours offer guests the best vantage point to see all the racing action whilst enjoying the best in South Australian hospitality. Enjoy an all-inclusive day highlighting South Australia’s diverse regions and world-class produce at some of the state’s most premium venues.
The men will battle it out for THINK! Road Safety stage 5 in McLaren Vale with an iconic Willunga Hill finish. Meet at the Tour Village and board the premium air-conditioned coach as you head to a dedicated pen at the start line in the heart of McLaren Vale to watch the men prepare for one of the most gruelling stages of the race.
As they ride, guests will feast at Our Place at Willunga Hill with a generous Italian style long lunch in the main dining room. Sip on local South Australian beverages whilst watching the racing action from the big screens and two pass throughs from the riders. Then, head to a dedicated viewing pen to watch the big finale up Willunga Hill.
Once the racing action has finished, travel to Thicker Than Water Wines for a very special tasting including their Giant Squid Ink Shiraz and other museum wines from their collection. This is a truly extraordinary showcase of South Australian food, wine and exciting cycling action.
Our bus will then drop you back to the Tour Village in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga.
Each DeTour has been expertly curated and includes:
- Bus transfers on an air-conditioned coach
- A light breakfast from a local producer
- A private pen at the start line
- Start line walk through allowing guests to get up close to the riders
- A long lunch with beverages
- Guided tastings at a regional winery or distillery
- Multiple race pass throughs throughout the day
SATC sells tickets via Ferve Tickets, a third-party supplier. Additional charges, including booking fees between $0.90 and $4.50 based on the total online shopping cart price, may be incurred. Purchases over $80 will also be subject to credit card fees aligned with Australian Competition and Consumer Commission guidelines.
