DeTours offer guests the best vantage point to see all the racing action whilst enjoying the best in South Australian hospitality. Enjoy an all-inclusive day highlighting South Australia’s diverse regions and world-class produce at some of the state’s most premium venues.

Just 40 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, McLaren Vale – known for its beautiful scenery, world-class wines and culinary experiences – will welcome Health Partners Stage 2 of the Women’s Race.

First stop is a private viewing pen at the start line on cosmopolitan King William Road in Unley. Watch the riders line up as they head into a 115-kilometere day of racing before heading to iconic McLaren Vale restaurant The Salopian Inn. Enjoy a three-course long lunch created with local and seasonal produce – all with a McLaren Vale wine in hand. Just steps from the lunch table, watch three race pass throughs as the riders battle it out on this hilly stage. 

Watch the finale on the big screen before heading to the final stop for the day – Gemtree Wines at McLaren Flat. Here, soak in the stunning surrounds and enjoy a wine tasting and local grazing platter on the cellar door lawns.

Our bus will then drop you back to the Tour Village in Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga.

Each DeTour has been expertly curated and includes:

Bus transfers on an air-conditioned coach
A light breakfast from a local producer
A private viewing area at the start line
Start line walk through allowing guests to get up close to the riders
A long lunch with beverages
Guided tastings at a regional winery or distillery
Multiple race pass throughs throughout the day

SATC sells tickets via Ferve Tickets, a third-party supplier. Additional charges, including booking fees between $0.90 and $4.50 based on the total online shopping cart price, may be incurred. Purchases over $80 will also be subject to credit card fees aligned with Australian Competition and Consumer Commission guidelines.
