Ziptrak® Race Day 4: Glenelg to Victor Harbor
About the stage
An iconic 144-kilometre coastal route awaits as we become the only race worldwide to hold men’s and women’s stages on the same day, across the same route and over the same distance.
It’s time. This history-making stage will open in Glenelg and wind its way through scenic Chandlers Hill and Coromandel Valley before arriving on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Once there riders have a sizeable to-do list: sprints at Aldinga and Yankalilla, a journey across the dramatic Myponga Reservoir wall and then the tough Nettle Hill climb – and that’s well before positioning for the finish comes into play.
The big question is whether a breakaway that forms across this 144-kilometre stage will be reeled in before the line looms. It’s day four for the men, day one for the women, and only all-out effort will be enough.
