Women’s One-Day Race
About the One-Day Race
The Barossa beckons for a standalone showdown that’s set to come down to the wire and earn its winner valuable UCI points.
The world’s best are back at it as our first regional one-day race heads to the Barossa. Get ready for 12 blistering laps of an 8.5-kilometre circuit that starts and finishes in Tanunda. Action is set to begin shortly after the finish of Men’s Stage 1, offering fans a full day of elite cycling.
Riders will head north-east on their way out of town, travelling down Basedown Road before a sweeping right turn on to Thiele Road. From there they’ll turn right again on to Bethany Road, following it to Barossa Valley Way and all the way back through Tanunda’s central Murray Street. It’s here the day’s best sprinter will be decided – and where the race is due to come to its thrilling conclusion around 6pm.
