ABOUT THE CLIMB

The Barossa is both beautiful (wineries and rolling vineyards) and ugly (Mengler Hill). It's a continuous push in the saddle and offers only the briefest of plateaus after clearing the sculpture park. Yes, the average gradent is 6.76%, but you'll spend the vast majority of the push doing that as a minimum.
