Torrens Hill Road

ABOUT THE CLIMB

This famous climb maxes out at 28% and averages over 8% for its length, but given you'll often take this climb as a continued challenge after Kangaroo Creek, or to burn your legs one last time when heading back to Adelaide, it can pack a nasty punch when you get to the foot of the hill.

Having made four appearances in the Santos Tour Down Under, it has proven the deciding factor for the general classification, with Richie Porte (2017) and Rohan Dennis (2015) building enough time to clinch the Ochre Jersey and retain it to the final podium.
